Sacred Heart Rehabilitation Institute has been providing leading Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation care in Wisconsin since 1893. Our passion for patient care is clearly evident, as each rehabilitation patient is cared for by a dedicated team of clinicians that stays with the patient through the course of his or her recovery. Our treatment teams strive not only to meet the physical needs, but to also address the emotional, social, psychological and spiritual needs of each patient and their families. Our dedicated staff has made Sacred Heart Rehabilitation Institute a destination for rehabilitative care in the Midwest and an exciting place to practice medicine. Sacred Heart provides Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy along side Rehab Nurses, Psychiatric Services, Dietary Services, Recreational Therapists and Case Managers.

In addition to the Sacred Heart Rehabilitation Institute, Columbia St. Mary’s hospitals also offer Rehabilitative Services. While many of the same services are offered as at Sacred Heart Institute, our hospital patients often first come to us for inpatient treatment and then continue to utilize our Rehabilitation Services on an outpatient basis. While the Rehabilitative Services offered in our hospital settings are generally more Orthopedic in nature, there is room for additional specializations, too, like Cancer Care, Lymph edema, Women’s Health, Burns, Pediatrics and Long-Term Care.

You’ll love working with the doctors, nurses and therapists that make up out our multidisciplinary treatment teams. As a member of a team, you’ll work together to see a patient all the way through the course of his or her care, always working towards the patient’s maximum level of recovery and return home. You will come to know your patients’ unique needs, and work with their families and your colleagues to design rehabilitation programs that maximize recovery.
